Rainy Day nostalgia

Image
I'm cold.  It's been a rainy couple of weeks in the city, but today's been particularly depressing.  It just doesn't even feel like a hot chocolate could cheer me up. On Tuesday, I went to TGI Fridays for the first time in almost five years and there was barely anything on the menu but, of course, the prices were ridiculously high. To be honest, I've been thinking a lot about the last five years: the pandemic, the craziness, how people have changed. When people said that "things will never be the same", I took it with a grain of salt.  I knew I would be allowed to go outside again; I knew that the mask wearing was going to be temporary, I knew that holidays would be green lit and that I would be able to see my (remaining) members of family.  I just knew everything was going to be normal again. Weekends in London

We go round Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square and just see what people are up to. Londoners, tourists, the odd day tripper or...

Just an introductory blog :)

Well, here it is. My first blog.  I'm gonna try and blog as often as I can, but for the time being, it's just Monday and Friday. First off, I want to congratulate everyone for surviving the year of January. It was difficult, but we made it through: we survived the New Year! If we can make it through this, we can make it through anything.  Next, I'm sorry if this blog wasn't posted on the Friday; I'm currently doing a survey while writing, so I can get a McDonald's wrap later (you gotta admit that they make some tasty wraps).  Finally, I'm planning on doing this blog from a combination of my phone and local library computers, so I thought I'd let you know. So, this blog is just gonna be casual and a bit like a British 'Sex and The City' because that's where I am in life (if you caught me 10 years ago, it would've been 'Friends'). This is mainly an introduction blog, so you just get to understand me and my personality.  I'm gonn...
